How is Black Dog TGR a truly refined Scotch

Curiosity never lets you stay lazy and keeps pricking you to get the information to quench the thirst. Curiosity levels tend to shoot up ten folds in the case of any new product in market. April-May is the season of the Indian Premiere League, a cricket tournament played in the club format. Bangalore is one of the host cities and its always worth the fun to watch the match live in Stadium. Two of my friends were more than lucky to have won the hospitality tickets. Now you can only imagine the experience there. Coming to the point, the hospitality box has the best of food and drink and club it with flamboyant cricket in the field, you have a perfect combo for the evening.

Nivedith with the Black Dog TGR
I was going through their pictures from the match and happened to come across something new. My friends had a bottle of Black Dog and a pose with the beautiful Scotch. You would be thinking what is new in posing for a pic with Black Dog, as it is one of the prized possessions to have. But wait, this was not something seen before. The bottle in hand was a new addition to the Black Dog family. On close inspection, it read Triple Gold Reserve, TGR.

Third time matured in Sherry Casks

On surfing the Internet more on Black Dog and any new spirits by them. It turns out TGR is a new blended Scotch. The drink consists of at-least 51% matured malt whiskey and the rest is composed of matured Grain Whisky. It is then married together and again matured in Sherry casks. This gives them a unique taste and aroma. And hence the name Triple Gold Reserve. A 750ml Bottle of Black Dog TGR will cost you approximately Rs.2300.
