Black Dog 18 YO - Best for the Ocassion

It has been quite a few years, since we friends met. After graduating from the same college, our jobs took us to different parts of the country and we had to separate. Some went to Pune, some to Mumbai, some Chennai,  Hyderabad, and a lot other to Bangalore. Few of my friends were posted out of India, as we call on-site and they were very excited for the opportunity. Though, we all were well connected digitally through Facebook and Whatsapp, we all were missing the company together.

There had to be a bigger reason that could pull everyone together and make it possible for us to meet. A friend of ours got his call for end of bachelorhood. Call it happiness or a sad (read sarcastic) , we all wanted to celebrate his last days of bachelorhood in style, so that he remembers us all even after he gets a life partner. A casual meet up of friends is never complete without beers, but this was no ordinary occasion. This was one of the biggest turning points of his life. After everyone made their choices of the spirit to be bought for the occasion, Whisky and Vodka. Now, no offence to any male vodka lovers, but primarily Whisky would be chosen over Vodka by the male society, unless you are a pro-Russian (pun intended).

Whisky won the vote, read shout battle. Now again a lot of choices over the brand. Black Dog was the ultimate choice, reasons being a plenty. First the image of the brand, lavish and premium feel, a drink for special occasion, a reason to cheer, finally a moment to be cherished. We knew, we had to get a special member of the Black Dog family to make a lasting impression in his life. We arrived at the Black Dog 18 YO Scotch as it is a symbol of luxury and has an equally inspiring story behind it. The party went on till the wee hours, with the atmosphere going from dance to laughter to everyone sharing their experience away from one another.

I can recall some of the characteristics of 18 YO Scotch from that night. It  was as smooth to the core, had a lasting impression on the tongue and nose. Had a velvety texture and looked deep, glossy, golden Mahogany in colour. The balance of malt and grain was impeccable and the flavors awakened the taste buds on tongue.
