How is TGR a truly refined Scotch

Today I would like to explain you more about the new Triple Gold  Reserve Scotch from Black Dog. I am sure you all must have heard the name TGR and also excited to try it out, as it comes from the best Scotch makers in the world. United Spirits Limited (USL) is the firm handling Black Dog. Black Dog is best known for its current range which comprises of:

  • Black Dog Black Reserve
  • Black Dog Gold Reserve 12 YO
  • Black Dog Gold Reserve 18 YO
  • Black Dog Quintessence 21 YO

Recently, USL announced the Triple Gold Reserve (TGR) Scotch Whiskey, which is unique on a lot of fronts. It is a premium variant that stands for luxury and sophistication all over the world. Black Dog TGR is the only blended Scotch that is prepared using a triple maturation process. The blends are actually produced in different parts,in fact different continents in the world. Each blend is carefully crafted so as to retain its taste and odour and contribute to the overall taste of the final product, the TGR. The Grain whiskies and Malt whiskies are separately matured in American Bourbon Casks. Later they are blended and matured again in Oloroso Sherry Butts for a long time. This helps in giving the blend a distinctive flavour and a delicate finish. It is one of the finest and smooth Scotch and TGR has been accepted as a parallel to any 12. YO blended scotch.

According to Ashok Capoor, President and Managing Director of United Spirits Limited, “We are extremely proud to introduce one of our most awaited and differentiated blends- the Black Dog Triple Gold Reserve. The success of our Black Dog Gold Reserve is well documented. Launch of the Triple Gold Reserve in the premium Scotch segment as an outcome of triple maturation augurs well for the discerning and growing scotch consumers in India. Such careful and skillful blending is a sublime testament to the art of luxurious indulgence.”
