New Era Gaming PCs by Lenovo

Lenovo is all geared up to launch three new multimedia gaming PCs in the Indian market. Two of which have first in the market features. We came across the Y510P, Z510P and Hybrid, which is a completely new segment in the gaming and multimedia industry. Let me walk you through each of them.

Introducing the world's first multi mode gaming PC. With a screen size of 27" and 10 point multi touch its ideal for home use. It can be used as a conventional PC, a gaming PC and multimedia device as well. Little on the heavier side, weighing around 8 Kilo grams the device packs Windows 8 and Lenovo's Aura. Aura is a unique multi-user interface allows two or more people to access different photos, videos and music on the same screen. This interpersonal device brings families together for a shared,collaborative and personal computing experience.

Bundled with the mammoth device are a host of accessories for enjoying your favourite games. These include Joystick, Striker and E-dice. You might have noticed the Striker in action for Air Hockey. The 10 point touch is useful not only for games but a lot of other stuff as well. People can use their favourite applications at the same time. We tried our hands on Pics, Videos and lot others. The system does not lag with apps running simultaneously thanks to 8GB memory under the hood.

The Y510P is built keeping the interests of Hardcore gamer in mind. The build of the device is solid, the back lit keyboard is a welcome plus. Its a no nonsense gaming PC aimed to provide the best experience for all classes of gamers. Its the first gaming device in industry to support DDR5 on NVIDIA® GeForce GT 750M. First in the industry with a swap-able bay, add another GFX card or use it for additional storage. Code named Ultra bay it supports both graphics card or a hard drive.

7.1 Dolby setup for Max Payne 3


Dolby was kind to set up a 7.1 channel gaming studio to try our hands on Max Payne 3. I was lost in the character and wanted to take the entire setup home. I bet you would apply a leave only to be lost in such a wonderful gaming machine. It boasts of JBL designed speakers supporting Dolby Home Theatre v4 audio certification for immersive sound.
