Bon6 is the new Bourbon by Britannia


The last 3-4 days was full of guesses, anticipation and waiting for the moment. Lots of people interacted over what was this new Mystery some of us lucky chaps had received. People got the website www.bontheoroginal.com and were surprised with the features of the new Bon6. They started comparing with phones and other gadgets. No wonder Bon6 was disguised as a smartphone. Some people were even able to guess it right to a very close extent.


I opened by Mystery box with VJ Bani and Kriti Kharbanda opening it at Bon6 Labs. The box had a surprise in the form of new Bourbon and was packed with cuteness. I always loved the sweet chocolate bourbons and this one definitely is a level above. It tastes so smooth, just about the right size and the chocolaty flavour is felt in your mouth even after 5 minutes. It makes you desire for more.


Here are few more snaps from the unboxing. The new font is lovely and attracts you more towards it. The sugar crystals are numbered appropriately, not less or not more. The small holes in the two layers that hold the chocolate feels like its the space for letting the chocolate breathe some air for added flavour. I was so impressed with the taste that I ate 3 at once to ensure I was satisfied.


One of the features Bon6 said is the 'Auto Friend Finder'. Sure it will help you make more friends with its delicious taste but I also fear it might also have negative impact between friends or siblings. I am saying this as me and my sister were both fighting over the last one remaining Bourbon. I feel every chocolate and biscuit lover should definitely try this, but in the meantime even if you are not so much of a biscuit person you should get this new Britannia Bourbon and try it. It is sure that you might start liking after trying it once.

Bon6 - The mystery box I received

Its the season of Love, yes February for most is considered as a romantic month. And right at the start of the week I happen to receive a surprise box. I do not remember order anything or anyone intimating me of a parcel coming my way. The box just showed up at my door step. Boy do I feel good about being Loved.

Yes, that is exactly how the box looks. The words Bon6 etched all over. A little bit of searching on the web about Bon6 landed me on this particular website http://www.bontheoriginal.com/. Now, I have seen enough teasers and leaks and spotted stories of various products over the years. They all seem to surface just before the unveiling of the actual product.

The website describes the Bon6 with some cool features. Lets talk about each of them a little. Version Chocolaty 2.0. There have been lot of names for products that had names like these - Jelly bean, Kitkat and more. This seems to be something different and the launch seems to precede when the talks are going around about the "Oxygen OS". Let's see how people adopt this new Chocolaty 2.0.

Smatphones always needing charge
A super surround sound will mean the users get immersed into their  own world and enjoy the sound crisp and clear. In today's world when people are joking that the smartphone is back to the landline age as people fight for wall sockets (as seen in the image above), the Bon6 boasts of "Auto Charge Unlimited". That is sure gonna make a lot of heads turn to Bon6.


Some other notable features seen are the "Auto Friend finder", a glitter that is due to "Crystal Coating" and "Power Pack". Now these words can garner enough interest in anyone's mind and make them search for more about Bon6. We do see a counter ticking towards zero about when Bon6 will be unveiled. Spotted: A new Lenovo phone in India


The new Lenovo Phone
Its that time of the year for new gadgets popping up with the CES underway in Las Vegas. Manufacturers have been showcasing their new designs and gadgets. Smartphones have taken the centre stage for almost 4-5 years now. Lot of hardware changes and software tweaks are seen in the same phone model. iPhone is one such prime example. Recently we spotted a Lenovo phone in India. But it looked and felt different from the ones that have been released by Lenovo.


 Here are some of the shots of the new phone. The build looks good, the phone wigs close to 130g. It is quite slim too, close to 8mm. Check out these pictures and lets guess what Lenovo has in store.



Based on the rumour mills, these are the specifications for a new upcoming Lenovo phone. LTE/4G is one of the features we are seeing in almost all recently launched phones. Some of them being Yureka by Micromax, Redmi Note 4G by Xiaomi and so on.

Mr. Hong all the way from China to Namma Bengaluru

Akshay and Deepika, who played a double role in the movie "Chandani Chowk" ti China must have relished the authentic Chinese food a lot of times during their shoot. But what if you and me wanna experience some amazing, authentic Chinese food in "namma" Bengaluru. Enter Mr. Hong. Located in the aesthetic and one of the biggest Malls in Bangalore, Orion the restaurant will attract a good amount of crowd thanks to tons of people flowing in every weekend and flocking the plush line ups of Stores and entertainment houses in there.

Rose Tea


Today's generation no longer wants to be tied down to have only Indian or Italian food. It wants to explore new places, try need food and wear clothes inspired by designs from popular places of the world. Here's where Mr. Hong caters to the needs of authentic food lovers. It imports the vegetables and marine specials from East Asia, so as to give its customers a taste of the Local Chinese food. They have a menu chosen wisely and the specialities are made by Chefs who are experts in preparing Chinese food. 


The ambiance is very pleasing to the eye. The pottery is beautifully showcased and the lighting just gets mixed with the setup. Service is impressing and the attention to details is what makes them stand apart from other regional authentic restaurants. I was greeted with a Chinese customary hello gesture and served with Rose Tea. It followed with spicy soup accompanied with Som Tum Classic Salad and Steamed Veg Dumpling.





I chose to go with "Cucumber Elder Flower" out of the available mock tails such as Apple ginger mint, Orange chilli lemon and Guava Delight. And yes, they serve beer too with their amazing food. I haven't been a fan of Cucumber juice, but it was prepared with diligence so that the cucumber flavor doesn't hit you. The next dish which arrived at our table was a complete surprise. It looked like a bigger version of Onion rings, but we could not make out the Vegetable used. It was slightly on the sweeter side and carried tinges of spiciness.





The main course had Spicy Green Bean Curd, Stir Fried Veg in Chili Garlic, Veg Shanghai rice and Veg Phad Thai Noodle coupled with Jasmine Rice. The rice looks very similar to the rice you get here in India. But with close observation it bulges a little at the centre and tastes different. The Scallion sesame Veg Cake was just amazing. It was served hot, with molten chocolate inside. The exteriors were soft and looked quite pleasing. The entire experience was superb and Mr. Hong impressed me with more than just food.
